Trade & Risk Management

ZE has the requisite trade, risk and portfolio management experience with gas and electric utilities throughout North America. ZE has examined and developed risk management programs for clients transacting in competitive energy markets. Our team has extensive experience supporting energy trading in North America including the audit and developing trade and risk functions. This includes quantifying risk tolerances, setting up Risk Oversight Committees and the development of trade, credit risk and market analysis software.

Trade management
We develop trade policies, processes and procedures, define trade and operational authority, risk and performance measures. We negotiate contracts and perform counterparty evaluation.

Energy/trading risk management
We audit risk management policies and procedures, develop and design improved frameworks, and implement new strategies and performance measurement.

Portfolio hedging and risk modeling
Through a rigorous methodology, we assess energy assets portfolio risks and facilitate management of hedging activities via energy derivatives.

Credit risk
