Environmental approval report: presented methodologies for obtaining environmental approval for a new hydroelectric project in British Columbia.
Environmental assessment of a hydroelectric project: analyzed the value of potential emission offsets from the output of an expansion of an existing hydroelectric facility. This was conducted to help develop a valuation of the plant output from a long-term strategic perspective.
Renewable energy policy development: the set of policies and procedures for an independent power producer in its efforts to identify, select and pursue power generation from renewable energy sources and advanced, environmentally benign energy technologies.
Status and future of emission reduction trading: reviewed the core content and progress of the Kyoto Protocol and assessed the potential policy implications of relevance to firms operating in the energy industry. Pilot programs for emissions trading were identified and reviewed and strategic recommendation made as to the adoption of the client’s recognition of the potential value of emissions markets.
Emission price analysis and forecast: emission price forecasts as a part of mid- and long-term power price forecast process. The forecast is based on analysis of regulatory environment and trends, as well as on econometric techniques and economic considerations.
