The ZE team is comprised of seasoned energy professionals that can effectively meet and exceed the demands of clients. For fourteen years, ZE PowerGroup has been working with a wide range of clients, including public utilities, investor-owned utilities, energy marketers, and energy producers.

The president of ZE PowerGroup, Dr. Zak El-Ramly, was one of the first executives of Powerex, the wholly owned energy trading subsidiary of BC Hydro. He is a foremost expert in energy trading and has provided testimony on trading and risk before the regulatory bodies of California, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia, as well as FERC and the National Energy Board of Canada. He was also a member of the NYMEX’s advisory committee for the development of electricity futures.

ZE principals have appeared as expert witnesses before many utility commissions and federal regulatory bodies on issues of trade and risk, market restructuring and rate design. The firm has an experienced energy consulting group, a large transmission and distribution design group and a substantive IT group.
