Application Support Specialist

The Opportunity

We have an immediate, full-time job opening for an Application Support Specialist to join our software development team to provide client support. You will be responsible to ensure our production and demo environments are operational and performing well and, In addition, you will diagnose application configuration issues at remote installations and provide 24/7 support for client requests.

Responsibilities

• Supporting client application requests (e.g. custom reports regarding accounts, licensing and data stores) and any difficulties or problems clients encounter with ZEMA software
• Monitoring and maintaining internal and managed client environments
• Managing application installations and upgrades in production and demo environments
• Deploying software changes onto Production environments
• Creating and updating software installation and update manuals

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in technical writing, preferably in a system or software application development environment
• 2 -3 years of Oracle SQL experience
• Good understanding of Java build environments, with particular emphasis on automation tools (e.g. Maven, SVN, build installers)
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable and clear manner
• Enjoy working with people and sharing knowledge
• Good understanding of technical subjects and general business knowledge
• Ability and willingness to learn subject matter quickly
• Basic understanding of software and interface development process is preferred
• Able to work rotation shifts including nights
